Before powering on a phone, make sure a battery has been inserted into the device, a known working battery is best. Next, press the power button. It should have a symbol like on the picture above, keep in mind that another key, such as the "end" key, might also act as the power button. If you see no light eminating from the device, the battery might be drained.
Plug a charger into the phone and see if any charging indicators pop up, if none pop up, then your phone doesn't power on, but if it springs to life? Huzzah! Your phone powers on!
